Serving Opportunities

Greeter: Kindly ensures that every person entering and exiting the church is greeted and feels welcome.
Welcome Center Host: Positively assists regular attendees and guests by sharing information on upcoming church events/volunteer opportunities, offering assistance in signing up for those events/volunteer opportunities, and distributing appropriate church literature.
Common Grounds Server: Serve beverages and bagels at the Common Grounds coffee shop on Sunday mornings.

The Usher Ministry is a simple, powerful and exciting ministry. It goes far beyond just handing out bulletins and collecting tithes and offerings. It is a purposeful ministry operating for the glory of God. Ushering is a first line and outpost in ministry. Ushers stand at the front door in God’s house helping people to feel welcome, loved and encouraged. Ushers lift and condition the heart, spirit and mind of the people entering in. They set the tone that enables people to better receive what God wants to give them during our time of worship. Ushers radiate first impressions to visitors of what kind of church Living Hope is. Ushers affect and guard the environment and experience of people gathering together to meet with God.

The simplicity and power of this ministry will require a smile, a caring heart for people and a love for God. It is a call for people to be ministry minded and not just attendance minded. It is a call that causes excitement about its potential and the anticipation of what God will be doing in and through those who accept it. Arts
Photographer: Capture photographs of major LHC events.
Graphic Designer: Produce graphics for message series, events and other projects.
Video Editors: Create video promos and event videos. Editing programs include Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects.
Videographer: Capture video footage of major LHC events.

Tech
Media Technician: Work with visual media instruments (MediaShout & Power Point) to engage people in worship. Flash vid- eos, sound bites, sermon presentations and the like as directed by the worship leader.
Sound Technician: Set and maintain accurate balance of sound throughout a given service. Work with worship leader to de- liver a sound environment that promotes worship.
Stage Cleanup: Assist worship team with properly wrapping instrument cords, collecting sheet music, and resetting the stage.

Nursery
Nursery Attendant: Care for the babies and toddlers. Change diapers, record arrival and dismissal.

Preschool
Teacher: Prepare a short 20-minute lesson from a prepared packet. Facilitate a class time including a lesson, snacks, recess, craft, etc.
Helper: Assist the teacher with classroom management and activities.
Dismissal: Assist Pastor Susan in dismissing preschoolers to their parents.

Children’s Ministry
Field Trip Planner: Investigate and plan fun field trips for each of the small groups once every three months.
Birthday Cards: Stuff, label and mail Birthday Cards to the kids of Living Hope Church. Prep them a year in advance or each month. Can be done from home!
Greeter/Host (KickTown Welcome Center): Welcome children as they enter US 252. Give us 20 minutes and you are done! Put a smile on their face!

Family Konnection Live
Light Tech: To learn, practice and perform the necessary functions to meet the lighting needs of a weekend service.
Drama Team: Actors to be characters, cameos and comic host.
Computer Tech: To learn, practice and perform the necessary functions to meet the computer needs of a weekend service and rehearsal. Media Shout and Power Point driven.
Stage Cleaning: Thoroughly clean, dust and vacuum gym stage.

Small Group Leader: Facilitate small group discussions with age-appropriate groups.
Sound Technician: Set and maintain accurate balance of sound throughout a given service. Work with worship leader to deliver a sound environment that promotes worship.
Computer Tech: To learn, practice and perform the necessary functions to meet the computer needs of the service. Harmony “Media Shout” driven.
Bus Driver: Bus our kids to and from various events, retreats and camps.
Frontline Meals: Prepare and deliver meals to Frontline for the students.
Worship Band: Lead students in worship via singing, playing (guitar, bass, keyboard and drums).
