Basic: We Are Church/Who is God?

[Thursdays 7-8:30pm beginning October 5]
Teacher: Mike Gates
BASIC is a 7-part series that challenges us to reclaim the church as Scripture describes it to be. This series speaks to those who have questions about the church, what it is really all about and what the authentic Christian life looks like.
If we only had the Bible and no influence from anything else. No past church experience. No religious understandings. We had never seen or heard of church but after reading the Bible only and we decided to start one – what would it be like? That is what this study is all about. What is the church – really!
Trends come and go in our culture and the church seems to follow.
What is church?
You are church.
I am church.
We are church.
Childcare available upon request.

Living Hope Trunk or Treat

Friday, October 27 – 6-8:30pm
Trunk or Treat is a community outreach for our surrounding neighbors and friends of LHC. Children from the community and from the LHC family can enjoy visiting the various cars and stations to receive candy. You are welcomed to dress up yourself and your trunk in a friendly, seasonal way. Please bring 500 pieces of wrapped candy and a happy warm welcome! Invite your friends and neighbors! There will be a contest for the most creative trunks decorated! Car sign up in KickTown begins Sunday, September 17.
If you are able to help in the following areas, please contact the church office; hosting a trunk, carnival attendant, or donating candy, hot chocolate packets/cans or individually wrapped bags of pretzels.
