Life App Respect: Showing others they are important by what you say and do.
Join us for AMPLIFY, fun for the whole family! Once a month, Friday at 6pm.
Birth – Kindergarten
9 & 10:30 am
These years are filled with a sense of newness and wonder. Each day is filled with one new discovery after another. “Where did I come from? Why is the sky blue? Who made the grass?” We want to give them their first impression of their heavenly Father and the wonder of His love for each of them.
1st – 6th Grade
Elementary school students are wired to discover their world. We help kids connect the love of God to good decision making. They discover how He is involved in every aspect of their life, and that their true identity rests in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We teach them to see the value of respecting authority and treating their friends the way they want to be treated.
Small group leaders in US 252 are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching the truth. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. Every Sunday they connect with the same small group of kids and the same small group leader. That way they get connected and we have the best chance to establish a relationship that’s going to matter when they need it most.
For all families with kids
Doors open at 6:00 pm
AMPLIFY takes place on the first Friday of every month. This FREE event kicks off with family dinner at 6pm followed by music, games, prizes, drama and a whole lot more. AMPLIFY is a place where children and their parents come together to learn about character and faith. It’s a fast, noisy, zany, multimedia, kid-focused, parent-centered, virtue-driven extravaganza.
Note to Parents
We believe in leveraging your natural influence and partnering with you to help you raise Godly children by designing tools that will help you fight for your child’s heart. Attend AMPLIFY regularly with your child to gain ‘weekly teaching tools’ that help you bring God into the natural rhythm of your child’s life.
Commonly Asked Questions
Family and Children Ministries has a team of adult and teen team members who have gone through a background check, reference check and an interview with a staff person. They have been trained to minister and will take great care of your children!
The focus of Early Childhood (Birth – KG) is teaching foundational truths about God. In our elementary ages (1st through 6th grade), trained team leaders facilitate learning in both large- and small-group environments so kids will leave knowing God’s truth (Bible story and key verse), why that truth is important for living today (virtue) and how to apply the truth in their own life (application).
Our check-in centers open 15 minutes prior to the service.
The first weekend you attend, you will fill out a form listing all pertinent information regarding your child (name, address, phone number, allergies). If you have a nursery or preschool age child, he or she will be assigned a number and a name tag will be issued in his or her name and left at the check-in center.
We ask that you pick up your child as soon as the service ends so that we can release our team members when all of the children have been picked up. To uphold our safety value, we will not release a child to anyone other than the parents. We ask you to please stay behind the dismissal line and wait for your child’s name to be called.
To uphold our “safe” value, we have established a “two adult rule.” There will be at least two adults present in or near the room with the kids at all times.
All of our younger children have their diapers checked during the service. Parents of children this age are encouraged to bring an extra diaper with them (labeled with the child’s name) when they drop off their child. If a child needs to use the bathroom in ages 3 through 5, the child is allowed to use the bathroom on their own with an adult standing near the door outside of the room to offer assistance if needed. If assistance is required, the adult leaves the door to the bathroom/stall ajar in order to uphold the “two adult rule.” Kids in grades kindergarten through 6 have bathrooms in their general area. An adult stands outside the bathroom to make sure the child is safe.
Only people with proper identification are allowed to enter during the service. ID’s are checked each time someone enters.
