Living Hope Church was birthed from the joining of two fellowships, Timbercreek Baptist Church and Lake Forest Church. Timbercreek had just lost its pastor and Lake Forest was about to sell its building, when the two came together. With ten elders and deacons among us, we began the journey of merging the two churches into a new ministry. After much discussion we came to a concensus (which is pretty good for ten people) that our new church would be about hope, but not just a hope that can be disappointed, but rather a living hope, the Living Hope, Jesus, and all that He brings to us and to the world today. We've been operating as a united fellowship since Oct 2004.

Our Beliefs and Philosophies

Communion is available every Sunday. Monthly, we have a service that focuses on taking the body and blood of Jesus as He has given it to us in Communion. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, trusting Him alone to forgive your sins, give you a relationship with God and govern your life, you are welcome to join us in this observance.

Baptism we believe in and practice Baptism as part of our worship to God. Baptism symbolizes our past dying and being buried as we go into the water, then a newness of life coming over us as we emerge from the water.

Members' Confessions

  • We have put our trust in Jesus Christ alone for a relationship with Father God and have expressed our faith and obedience in baptism.
  • We declare and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit and exhort everyone to repent and believe in him unto eternal life.
  • We acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord by learning and living his words and his ways in every area of our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • We meet regularly with others of Living Hope Church in groups large and small, formal and informal, for worship, service and encouragement unless poor health or distance prevent it.
  • We support the common purposes of Living Hope Church by giving ourselves and our resources regularly and generously.
  • We participate in the body of Christ by offering mutual edification and appropriate submission to each other and, when we sin, forgiving and restoring each other as Jesus instructed us.
  • We confess with the Church through history that God has given us the Old and New Testament scriptures as his word and that his Spirit enables us to understand and obey them in light of Jesus Christ.
